A Warrior until the End

RIP Caixa Electronica

Champion, one-time claimer, and fan favorite, Caixa Electronica died in a collision with a loose horse when training at Aqueduct in early January 2014. According to his exercise rider at the time, Caixa sacrificed himself by putting his head down to act as a shield, meeting the other horse head-on instead of veering to the side at the last moment.
